FOUNDERS VISION

Vijay Pratap Singh

My journey with Tropico began not with a business plan, but with an obsession—an obsession with the way a single cup of coffee or a beautifully designed space can transform a person’s entire day. I have always been someone who finds deep enthusiasm in the details: the perfect curve of a ceramic mug, the specific golden hour light hitting a wooden table, and the way a community gathers around a shared table.

Tropico is more than a brand to me, it’s my firstborn.

Every corner of this venture has been nurtured with the same care, late nights, and protective instinct one gives to their own child. When we opened the doors in Vijay Nagar, it wasn’t just a commercial launch—it was the moment I shared a piece of my soul with the world.

Accidental Resurrection

"An accident brought it down, determination brought it back."

In May 2025, an unexpected error led to the accidental demolition of Tropico by the Nagar Nigam Indore. Within hours, what was once a thriving, lush sanctuary had been reduced to nothing. It was a moment that would have broken most — watching something built with love, care, and vision simply disappear in a matter of hours.

But Vijay Pratap Singh is not most people.
With unshakeable determination and a spirit that refused to surrender, he chose to rise. What followed was nothing short of remarkable. Within a single day, the entire cafe was resurrected — rebuilt from the ground up, piece by piece, plant by plant. Not just restored, but reimagined. The kitchens came back upgraded, the greenery came back fuller, and the soul of Tropico came back stronger than it had ever been before.
There is something deeply beautiful about a place that refuses to stay down. Tropico did not just survive that moment — it grew from it. Every leaf, every corner, every cup served since then carries the quiet strength of that story.
Because some places are built by hands, but the best ones are rebuilt by heart. And that is exactly what Tropico is.

A New Chapter Begins

In partnership with Paras Wadhwani, Tropico finds its second home in Palasia.

The expansion of a vision is much like watching a family grow; it is a moment defined by shared purpose and an unwavering belief in the magic we’ve created. On December 16, the Tropico story entered a vibrant new chapter as we officially opened our second sanctuary in Palasia, the very heart of the city. This milestone was made possible through a powerful partnership with Paras Wadhwani, whose shared passion for excellence and community helped bring this dream to life. Together, we’ve brought the signature soul of Tropico—our “Natural Opulence” and bohemian charm—to one of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods. This isn’t just an outlet; it’s a promise to continue cultivating connection, one artisanal brew at a time, in a space where the spirit of Tropico truly feels at home.

Tropico Serves Up Something New

— Pickleball Meets Specialty Coffee at Fantesso Court

In February 2026, the Tropico family grew once again with the launch of our most ambitious project yet: Fantesso Court, located in the vibrant Rajendra Nagar. This third outlet marks a bold evolution of our “Natural Opulence” philosophy, merging our signature bohemian cafe culture with the high-energy world of sports. By introducing our very own Pickleball Court X Tropico, we’ve created a unique destination where the thrill of the game meets the soul of a specialty coffee sanctuary. Fantesso is more than just an expansion; it is a celebration of movement, community, and the tireless enthusiasm that drives us. Whether you’re here to master a serve or unwind with a micro-lot brew, this new space invites you to experience the perfect harmony of active living and tropical tranquility.
